About

TNT Architecture is an architectural practice guided by the philosophy of “Contemporizing the Vernacular”.We continuously seek harmony between architecture, people, and nature.

Founded in 2008 by Architect Bùi Quang Tiến, TNT Architecture currently operates with two offices located in Hà Nội and Vinh, Nghệ An.

Everything began like a child playing with toys — innocently and instinctively — and little by little, life led us onto this path…

Philosophy

  • A minimalist, clear, and articulate spatial structure that always seeks to respect local ways of living and cultural context.
  • Emphasis on crafting spatial scenarios through seven core elements of design: Space, Light, Material, Form, Proportion, Detail, and Structure.
  • A strong appreciation for the emotional resonance, atmosphere, and energetic presence of space.
  • Balancing the different aspects of each project — broadly understood as function and aesthetics.
  • Centered on the relationship between people, architecture, and nature, with the belief that architecture is a living entity capable of reconnecting human beings with nature as an inseparable whole.
  • “Contemporizing the Vernacular” — listening to the pulse and subtle vibrations of space within each specific context, allowing those resonances to coexist with human aspirations and ways of living.

Milestones and Projects

Values We Seek to Create for the Community

  • To create a professional environment where architects can gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their own essence. Through this process, they may develop a greater love for nature, a deeper appreciation of traditional and local values, while also understanding and embracing the inevitable changes of contemporary life. From there, they are able to discover better solutions for the people who inhabit their spaces.
  • To help people experience more moments of harmony with nature, while fostering greater respect for regional cultures, local identities, personal habits, individual characters, and ways of living. In other words, we seek to honor, reinterpret, and contemporize regional characteristics — a philosophy clearly reflected in the way we name each of our projects.
  • To help people come closer to one another, while still allowing room for personal silence and contemplation.
  • Following in the footsteps of previous generations of architects, we aspire to leave meaningful legacies for those who come after us.
